My ramblings, quotes from things that interested me, links to places and blogs I like or think are worth reading, a chance to share things that don't make it to the Sermon but I thought worth sharing. Generally anything I feel like sharing from blogs and bible to funny things.

A Sissified Needy Jesus?
I think he says it all right here. Listen to the passion, listen to the purpose, listen to the truth that our God is God and is unlike all others. Then tell me why you think Christ should not be declared Lord in your life!
Our God is Lord! Never forget that truth, you can be sure He will not forget it.

"for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.” (2 Timothy 1:12b NAS95)
“Certainty The Lost Chord in Current Protestantism 1-.” BSac 93 (April 1935): 218-225.
The following quote from Robinson is the opening paragraph from an article that is well worth the read. I came across it looking for something not directly related but found it worthwhile. One could easily place "post-modernism" in the article instead of "modernism" and it would ring just as true today as when it was written some 75 years ago. It is from the 1935 April BibSac.
Certainty
The Lost Chord in Current Protestantism 1

Wm. Childs Robinson
Professor of Ecclesiastical History and Missions, Columbia Theological Seminary
"Man doth not live by bread alone; but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of Jehovah. However, our day has lost her anchor in the Word of God and is wandering hither and thither in a feverish quest for something that is certain and stable. The things that men live by are to be found neither in the plausible opinions of modernism, nor in the ecclesiastical dogmas of Romanism. The pillars of life are the certainties which God engenders in the hearts of His people by His Word and His Spirit."

First round
Well, I finally decided I would try this blog thingy. As I prepare to teach I come across much more information then I can possibly share in the time I am given. So I will put some of those things here on this blog site. I will also post things I just find interesting or important that don't necessarily go with anything I may be teaching. I will endeavor to keep it light with a mix of just for fun stuff too. Look back often as I hope to post semi regularly and you never know what you might find.
I hope/pray you will enjoy and be challenged by what you find here.
